I dont know if anyone has made a thread about this before but i gotta put it down here. I was at babbages in the mall the other day and was lookin around and went up to the guy at the counter. I asked him if there were any good games coming out cause planetside isnt the only game that i play. So i had bought the original matrix and LOVED it. He held a box up for the matrix online and asked if i wanted to reserve it and when i told him i didnt know what was coming out he flipped. But i have it reserved and he said they are starting beta soon so the game should be out around july or august at the latest. Cant wait so go reserve your copy today and hopefully I will see you online.

Dont worry its quite different. More powers and you will be running around looking at other players and stuff. One thing he didnt tell me was if it is going to be a MMO or not.

Yeah is a MMO set in the computer world and you can take missions from Zion or machines and the way you fight is some new way tho i hear its really cool and you load different stuff into your head just like Neo did when he learned karate.If they do it right it should be cool

After watching the Matrix Revolutions' special feature about the game this is what i can tell you: There will be one server that can hold tens of thousands of players at any given time. You will also be able to enter every room on every floor of every building in Mega City. You will be able to encounter the characters from the movie. How they plan to make this lag free I cannot say.

simple... by every room they mean that Mega city will consist of 2 single room huts...

i watched the game footage that was laced in with the devs talking, and they have huge skyscrapers which you can jump off..and die...beware the suicidal rebels.

depends,if betas good i buy,if not i wont.I'm not gonna get to excited or anxious cause chances are they will screw it up just like SW:G and Planetside.

I'm gonna get it if beta's good.

They way it works is that you can either play as zionists and move with the phone lines, or agents and just pop up through random people. The agents will asswipe any zionists that come around, there are NO exceptions, and they all look basically the same. But it's not just human vs. machine, there's various politics with all of the different factions of each side.

But it's basically:
Zionists are badass and go around doing sabotage, stealing data so programmers can learn to make weapons for them (there's no money, all weapons are just code that players called programmers, which are like smiths in an RPG use. Except you don't need any resources except the data.), etc. Agents come in and help security NPCs fight zionists. Zionists run from Agents, Agents run from Neo.
