Look, I've been to a shitload of events where i met people who I knew online. Some of those people I hated online. Once I met these people in person it was like we were equals, everyone chilled out and had a good time.

As for going back on my original word - I am not going back on it. The day of the Forum banning (Still set to 2 years) I set an IRC ban. That IRC ban was set to 30 days then it expired. Put yourself in his shoes, you would want a chance to redeem yourself.

Okay, Didn't know that.

I'll give him a chance. But when he was in the channel for less than 30 min, and he had already been kicked by psu-bot for flooding, I asumed he hasnt changed much.

I was there. I give you my word of honor- and I don't just toss this around, for anyone that's seen me here long enough to know- Squeeky acted WELL within the confines of a normal conversation. Which is more than I can say for a LOT of shit that I've seen on that IRC channel the few times I went in there.

Squeeky was damn-near a perfect gentleman. I swear this on all that I hold in honor.

Personally, I like Squeeky. He hasn't bothered me before. He's a nice guy.

The problem is, I would never do unto someone else as Squeeky did unto me. He definately crossed a line with me. I consider myself a very tolerant and friendly person. I don't go looking for people to hate. But he really said some things that are unforgiveable.

Yeah Yeah I know its just the internet... but even over the internet things can be said that cause a lot of grief. I mean, I wouldn't have cared if he had insulted me personally, but he had to go and attack me where I am very emotionally vulnerable, and keep hitting me there repeatedly, just to elicit a response, which I gave him because I was too furious to act in a mature manner. I for one am not happy to see him back on IRC. I've heard Squeeky can be a decent person, but I'm sorry, due to my own experiences I can never see him that way.

Edit- Also, if Squeeky wants to redeem himself, he better get his ass redeeming full-time. He has a hell of a lot of good to do before I will see him as anything more than a sadistic, insensitive, immature little douchebag.

Well Triggar, I DID hold a private conversation with him on IRC over PM. We both agreed not to cause any problems for you at the mobilization. I promised that I wouldn't touch him, simply because I don't feel like getting arrested for assaulting a minor OR missing out on the insane amount of fun that the mobilization is going to be. We will both avoid interaction with one another, and hopefully all of us can have a good time.

As for the ignore thing on IRC, I'm way ahead of u guys. I've written a script that ignores Squeeky, but also informs me if he has mentioned my name (and the accompanying text), because I really don't want him talking shit about me behind my back in the channel. Unfortunately, I wrote this script just a few days before he got banned, so it never got to see much use. I almost deleted it but I guess it will now have to be reactivated. Basically, if Squeeky doesn't mess with me, I won't mess with him.

I wish that someday Squeeky might grow up and realize that making enemies just for a laugh is generally not a good idea.

I believe that's why he requested to be banned in the first place. Because sometimes, things snowball a little too fast, and he had the sense to take control of the situation before it got worse.

I'm glad that you two came to a superficial peace agreement. It really isn't worth your time or anyone else's to be consumed with hatred.
