That sounds like something I'd do.
Last year, my roommate and I hated the girl who lived next-door to us in the dorms. We HATED her. So first we bought a can of fart spray, and late at night, we'd soak the carpet by the bottom of her door with it. Hilarity did ensue as my roommate heard someone run out of the room and throw up about 10 minutes later. But that wasn't enough, oh no. The fools went away for a weekend, and when they returned, they found laundry soap squirted through the bottom of their door crack, and moth balls flung precariously inside their room. Then when they got back in town, Meaghan (my roommate) and I created a device with straws, a plastic spoon, and a lot of duct tape that we could slip through the crack of our window over to their window, that would tap on the outside of their window. We lived on the 13th floor. Then it got boring, and we stopped.

The gun katas. Through analysis of thousands of recorded gunfights, the Cleric has determined that the geometric distribution of antagonists in any gun battle is a statistically predictable element. The gun kata treats the gun as a total weapon, each fluid position representing a maximum kill zone, inflicting maximum damage on the maximum number of opponents while keeping the defender clear of the statistically traditional trajectories of return fire. By the rote mastery of this art, your firing efficiency will rise by no less than 120%. The difference of a 63% increase to lethal proficiency makes the master of the gun katas an adversary not to be taken lightly. |

So this guys entire life could have been ruined becuase of that asshole. While it is insanly funny it wasnt very smart. Think about it. What if Josh ended up failing his finals and thus did not get his degree, thus had no way of making a decent living. It would have been vastly more appropriate to do this AFTER the finals.

To be fair, we really don't know what Josh did to deserve this punishment.

Wow, that is just wrong. Funny, yes, but over the top. Sentrosi all we know is he owed the guy $30. If whoever did this was so strapped for cash that he went to all that trouble for it, he's a sad sad man. Also, I think he probably spent well over the thirty bucks buying all the shit he needed to get for doing this. Not too bright. Oh well, interesting story, anyways.

What I am saying is that it takes a lot for someone to go overboard like that. There had to have been something else there; Josh slept with his girlfriend, Josh peed in his cornflakes ritualistically each morning, etc.

yes. I don't think i would do something like that to a roommate just because she had a really annoying habit, or hobby or some other petty thing.
It has to be so horrible that whatever you did needs to justify the "crime" they did. And what that bloke did to Josh (though i don't want to say i approve of it) I just hope that it was for a equally horrible thing that was done by Josh to him.

hah, wow - well, it seems like the guy was just an all-around bad roommate. it seems like he was noisy, messy, inconsiderate, theiving, and unfriendly.
(the $30 reference, by the way, is the author making a joke - as though he actually did all this because of the money. laugh at it, and move on.) he was obviously not "strapped for cash" since he was able to come up with the drugs, midget porn, and fiberglass. |
