Windows ME issues?

I d/l PS from filplanet and started playing a week ago, the game has always been quite laggy (especially when action i shot or when doors open etc,,,) even though i have a top of the range computer and Broadband live chat with SOE almost produced an answer but the ended the session after saying "you need to do two things....." not exactly stunnigly helpful, my only conclsion is that planetside might have an issue with windows me? or some other part of m computer ; here are my specs as dxdiag sees them

O/S: Windows ME (build 3000, 4.90)
System Manafacturer: ASUS TeK (model A7N8X-X)
Processor: AMD athlon XP 3200+, MMX, 3D NOW ~2.2ghz
Memory : 512 ram
Page File: 121mb used 1414mb avaible
Directx :9.0b

Display: name: RADEON 9800 Pro 128mb

AGP textre acceleration is not avaible (could this be the problem??)
(512kbps Broadband- run behind a router but i am a DMZ)
All drivers are current i use a FM801 pci sound card and internal LAN card, all my other games are fine.. PLEASE HELP ME!

Well insall all of you drivers again, and Reinstall your chipset drivers(especialy if you have a VIA) Then set your swap file max size and min size to the same size.

Also anouthe 512 of memory should help. But your comp should do quite well with this stuff
