Question about Merits

Can you still get the merit for having a character for more than a year if your character has been playin for a year and you changed their name from bob-j to bobby.

And when the merit system is placed into the game does it start then, for example if u already met the required amount of kills before the merit system came out would you get the award then or have to start over and work from 0.

I would think it is based on the character, not the name. So yes, im pretty sure thats how they would do it.

I think that it's based on the accout not the character.

The merit is probably based on the account for the 1 year of play. Also everyone starts back at 0 for every type of stat. (Other than total kills)

So if I play for a year and make another character on my account he will start out with the year medal? Not so sure about that because stats are currently tracked by indivisual charaters not accounts. You should mail a dev with that question. And how do you change your charater's name without deleting him? Is it possible?

nereid prolly not i bet they keep track of wen each char was created. so i bet only the characters that have been on your account for a year will get the merit.

Possible but unlikely, I would think it be easier just to make it when you created the account, not the character.

wouldn't matter for me, i made all my characters besides a couple on werner a year ago.

Only characters with a -K or -J can rename their characters. All the other ones are stuck w/ their sucky-assed poor choices
