Tek, here's the rub. The entire reason that so many people become frustrated with you is that, when they argue with them, you become quite caustic. Now, I can live with being called a retard for disagreeing with you, but I will reciprocate with insults, and that starts up the flame wars that led to the big problem. Please, when someone disagrees, establish your side of the debate without using pejoratives

Oh, and do get on topic (dont know how we keep getting off it) I played some more today and finally lost. I decided to be nice and let the game keep going. Unfortunately i was playing Eldar and he pulled out this huge fucking demon. Nothing I had could stop it.

He sent it in practically alone, ripped through a heavily reinforced tower, 2 turrets (both anti tank), 3 full marine squads w 2 anti tank weapons each, 2 predator tanks, and 2 whirlwind artillery.

I gotta find a way to beat those things.

Yep, no disagreement, just (I quote): "Are you retarded?". Please, that isn't necessary, and, believe it or not, it's small things like that that start massive flame wars.

On topic: Wow, that demon must have been fucking invincible. I should definitely try out this game, it sounds fun. Tek, an idea for stopping those might be to force it's path into lanes of fire where you could destroy them with a concerted attack. I imagine that those demons would be very resource-intensive, and thus very difficult to replace. I'd also recommend that, when defending against those, you use your marines as bait to lead it into your lanes. Then, when the demon starts attscking your fixed emplacements, you attack with your marines and catch him in an uber crossfire. Or, if he sticks with attacking your marines, just keep leading him past your defenses and let them take it out.

This is very frustrating. Pants, please do not throw out things like this. When I'm 'moderating', as I am now, it feels like I'm on a tightrope, with Tek and the person he's debating with trying to burn both ends of my wire off. Then don't moderate... I tryed... made a pretty good thread... and look what happened... it lasted a week then just restarted...

Anyway, I heard the demon gets stronger the more it fights and kills. Maybe if you don't attack the thing, it'll weaken.

Infernus, if you're talking about your anti-flame thread, it did work. Getting Tek to put his alleged obsessors on ignore, and vice versa, was a huge step towards solving the problem. I hoep that you understnad that I don't intend to moderate. But I am taking steps, just like you, to try to keep the boards I love free of flaming. Regardless of whether I am a moderator or not.

Orks are cool and all but I gotta have my Chaos Marines to play. I am sure there would be no other experience like using Nurglings, Thousand Sons, and a Greater Demon of Khorne.
