Then this should indicate further issues with the game that need addressing, though I think the crux of the issue is the overwhelming superiority of HA weapons over anything else in virtually every situation where infantry fight infantry.

It could also be where you choose to fight. Since I cloak and spend a lot of time on the outskirts, I see a lot of Agile, Bolt Drivers, Pulsars, Cyclers as well as AV. They're out there. Then again, if you spend time in a base/tower siege then you're right that you won't see much other than those things.

To be honest, what's the alternative? I mean half the point of HA is that it IS the superior choice for close up infantry on infantry engagements, and I have no problem with that. That's why it costs 4 certs.

When you've got HA coming at you, bring the AI MAXes in, when they've got decis on them, bring in the HA users. Simple rock/paper/scissors. Think outside the box, know that no one person will be prepared for every situation. The game is balanced.

I whouldnt even mind if they'd take the secondary mode away and move a similar weapond to Special assault.

should all the heavy weapons have secondary modes like jackhammer? i would like to see some way to empliment something like that where lasher would dump half of the clip like aurora, insta-gib like jackhammers secondary, and something with mcg. I have no ideas on that secondary though, but insta- gib secondary should go around. even vs and nc deli variants have insta gib something. just a though on extra balancing issues since they was brought up here

Ok first off none of my characters have HA, and have not for a long time.

The jackhammer has a secondary mode because it is a close range weapon, other then that it is just a slightly faster firing version of a fucking common pool weapon the sweeper. How you can compare HA weapons to the deliverer varients is beyond me.

Changing things for the sake of it is a really bad way of going about balancing.

I just mentioned the deli variants due to the insta gib ability that they have. why bring insta gib to nc and vs, but not tr? Why the tr have no insta gib anything is beyond me. some of us would like that power. Thats why i think all heavy weapons should have an in-yo-face insta kill ability. The jackhammer primary mode fits nc theme for high power weapons and the jackhammer didnt need the secondary but it doesnt bother anyone cause it needs to be in your face to kill cause of the bad accuracy. so why are we forced to eat away with lashers and mcgs at all distances. The tr have nothing that one shot kills. thats why some people, especially newcomers, leave for nc, or vs, to have that.

balance means you get insta-gib, we get insta-gib, not some get it, some dont. i think jackhammer is good without secondary. heavy weapons are, at least tr and nc, faster and larger clip sized than their med assualt counterparts. N.C. triple-shot is fine to add but add different uses for others also. Even if its 50% faster fire with far less accuracy for mcg and the pre-mentioned lasher fire half clip. Neither would do much damage beyond say 3-5 meters. It would add more use for them, but only certain situations and the versatile nature would make them more preferable to new folks that try tr. and they wont quit cause they want that versatility of their heavy assualt. i think a lot of us stayed cause of our pretty outfits. im growing bored of getting underdogged by other empires getting better equipment.

That's funny, tell another one.

Used to be Agile/HA/Surge.

Rexo users were in the minority, it was even to the point that people would use Phoenix with Agile and that is pretty bad. Now Rexo is up there with HA as a primary Infantry cert as it should be.

I'm pretty sure the sweeper actually does MORE damage than the JH. Atleast it used to.
