From who? Anyone who's a nerd like me lives nowhere near me, and can't afford FedEx.
Demo's aren't always available. Game reviews don't do anything except give you someone else's experience with the game. I want my own. That's why I'd buy the game in the first place.

Well, unfortunately, creating a demo recquires more work by the industry, which means that the developers have to use even more of the little money they make on creating the demo, which is why a demo isn't always available.
Like I said, don't rely on one game review. Most good reviewers will attempt to outline all of the good and bad points, and attempt to have an impartial view. I actually consisder IGN.com a pretty good source, but what the hell do I know. I'm still against pirating. |

My boss shortchanges me all the time, and because of Marching band, I can only work two hours a week at barely above minimum wage. I have other expenses as well, including my cell phone, PlanetSide, and donations to my clan, yet I still manage just fine. I mean, if you want something, you need to earn the money to buy it, not just steal it. |

Although games have, in my experience, gone down in price in recent years, piracy threatens to raise prices for everybody, which is unfair. Can you justify making other people charge more for your situation that isn't in their hands?

People who want a game, download it and never pay for it are stupid.
I don't see any problem with downloading a game with the intent to sample it, if there is no demo available. That's like hearing a song on the radio you like, buying the CD and finding out the other 10 songs suck the fat one.

Nothing wrong with being a pirate of music or games. Just as long as you dont pirate like every single game out there. I have to pirate my games to see if they even work on my comp. Like i got Doom3 Illegally to see if it would run and while it does its not worth $50 considering the graphics have to be turned down all the way.

I acquired DOOM 3 at a LAN party. Went through the game and beat it. Realized it wasnt worth the 50 bucks they were charging. I can go watch a horror flick for 7.50 and be scared like DOOM 3 scared me.
If its worth it, Ill buy it. DOOM 3 wasnt worth it. Absolutely no replay value, nothing but linear predictability.
