You kinda missed the point. A 1.7, ATi 9600, and 512 plays fine and looks beautiful. They just made the engine more future proof than most games.

Good, because that's almost exactly what I have.

The interface looked kinda retarded though, (what's with the big black boxes on the top/bottom? Is that always there?)

No, the UI is completely customizable. I'll dig and try to find screens.

When I get my new rig I'll get this game. Im getting like a 3.6ghz 4 gig ram, 74 gig hd with 10k rpm(Coulda got more hd space but with only 7200 rpm and I hear the 10k rocks for games, Radeon 9800 Pro 256mb and a load of other good stuff. GOnna cost like 3.4k tho Oh btw what about PvP, is there any??

One of the things I really loved about EQ1 was the social aspect. WoW doesn't seem to have as much of it. I never really made any "friends" during my beta experience, and through my EQ1 experience, it was like an online family. If EQ2 can pull that off, they've got it made.

One of the things that really makes EQ do that, is they pretty much force you to group, which I don't oppose in the least, because what's a MMO if you're almost always alone. In WoW, I had to group... 2 times. And then, I didn't even have to, I was just bored of being alone.

Dhark, here's a pic of the UI without the letterbox. I think more people use letterbox because it improves performance a little.

They're saying yeah in some zones, but they also say it gets better everytime they patch, so we'll see.

its just another pile of shit mmorpg any way you look at it, after a month or so it will be just another grind, at least whoever is playing will have the satisfaction that SOE >MIGHT< pay attention to customer demands, as it is its flagship massivley multiplayer game at the moment...

and SDM, it has grass snakes
