Which server is the best?

They removed the population counters (which went from actual numbers, to little coloured pips to none at all) for this very reason, just play on the server nearest you.

Ping is generally a sign of location, server quality and network traffic not player amount.

Also, I'm just curious... Doe's anyone know roughly how many people are playing on a server at a time? Just a rough estimate at the peak time...

Yes i live in europe, and for me markov has the highest ping, and i guess that means that i should try out emerald more than once.

That's because Markov is practically on the other side of the world

Werner's the European server and is still your best bet.

SOE don't release player/server numbers but back when they had numbers at the server screen I recall seeing the likes of 4000 players per server.

I remember when they tried to get get everybody on line at once to break the record for most people online in a FPS, they got the record but never said the amount.
