AH... London is also one of my favorite places on Earth.

If you go into Saint Paul's Cathedral, you can see grafitti carved into the wall from the 1600's. I love that. From the London Eye, you can see the whole city. The London Aquarium, right next door, has some incredible displays like I've never seen anywhere else. The Tate Gallery has an amazing collection of art. Getting off the Underground and looking up and seeing Big Ben is sweet. Sitting by the Thames at Tower Hill, reading a magazine and killing time. Walking around on a perfectly sunny day and seeing people walk around carrying umbrella's, just in case. I love it there.

Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.
Too bad it's slowly losing it's appeal and becoming commercialized because of all the tourists.

Naples, Florida

Favorite all around place, New York City. I fucking love that place.

Second, the Boundary Waters. On the border of Northern Minnesota and Canada theres about 10,000 lakes, great for Canoe and camping trips. Once you go in a few miles wilderness is the only thing you can see/hear/smell/touch.

Jay, Maine. My step-dad had a five-acre piece of land right in the mountains. a nice three-story house with an apple grove in the back. "perfect" does not even begin to describe it.

I went to England when I was eight... that was fun. The weather in Brighton screwed up the umbrella we had.

The American-Tourist friendly part of Montreal was quite nice when you didn't butcher French.

The Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Escanaba, Copper Harbor, or Marquette.

Because Im a pessimist, as well as a cynical jerk, I really cant name a place I've been to that maks me just revel in awe. But, I do have a favorite point.

In california, Near San Pedro, theres small mountain/incredibly large hill. At the top of this hill is a small sandy outlook with trees covering the canopy, and you get a kick-ASS view of the Pacific ocean, and, on clear/less foggy days, you can see Catalina island.

ALMOST makes up for the astronomical price of gas and sheer mass of dumb there. Almost.

I don't have pictures or links but theres two places I remember, and love the best.

1. Corinth- the canal, the view of the agien... heh I miss it so much, the mediterranian breezes. Just sitting watching the ships move through the canal into the sea or sitting up at night watching some family have a party on the beach. Its good times...

2. Delphi- I never actually lived in Delphi... but I took a vacation to Greece a few years ago and Delphi was the best. Running through the endless woods as the birds screech overhead, camping near the oracle... its a very nice place.

Not my favorite, but a cool place to go is Red Rock, here in Las Vegas. The hiking is awesome. Also, Zion National Park in Utah has some awesome scenery/hiking. And, I'll always love the Dunes on the beaches of Lake Michigan back in Indiana.

Have to represent. New York City is hands down, where my heart is at home.

I used to live in downtown Manhattan, by Water Street and the Seaport. Can't sleep? Grab a friend and walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. More secrets have been revealed and bonds solidified on that bridge than anywhere else on Earth. Need some quality time alone? Grab a magazine and head to the seaport. The crisp breeze and gentle sound of river flowing around you calms your mind. Want to go to a restaurant that is devoted entirely to variations of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich? Head up to the Village. Around this time of year, you can head to Dean & Deluca by Rockefeller Center, see the Christmas tree, have a hot apple cider and a delicious pastry and just talk about life with a friend. Around 14th Street, there's an annual street market where you can get all kinds of unique pieces of jewerly and other stuff. If you're broke but really want to go out, head up to Gray's Papaya and get the most delicious hot dog you'll ever have in your life, and a milkshake, for about $2. Right next door, there's this bakery that is so lovely - a small Mom and Pop job that has cheap little cookies and cakes that are really delicious. Times Square is a fun place to go if you're bored (and brave), even though a lot of New Yorkers avoid it because of the touristy-ness of it. The Toys-R-Us in there is a hoot if you want to kill a little time.

I can go on for ages. I miss the city.
