FPSs like Planetside Improve My Paintball skill

That's right. Well, I think so any way. See, first time i went to a paintball place i was crap, then after playin planetside for a while and went again I was good. DUnno why. Maybe Planetside learned me not to stand out in the open shootin everywhere goin 'NUHHH !! NUHHH!!' hahaha joking. Seriously tho, planetside and other games such as Halo have made me nice paintballing person guy thingy

Sure you can learn tactics and get better eye to hand coordination but gunnery skill can't be learned by pointing and clicking.

uh no. FPS games have generally improved my hand-eye coordination, but seriously, when it comes to speedball and stuff, they haven't helped me much. best way to get good at paintball? play paintball.

Well to yall who say its nuffin ado with amiin, u wrong. hard core halo players will no that killin 3 shots with a pistol means shootin slightly ahead of ur target. If halo hadnt taught me that i wudnt have taken it into consideration in paintball. It did help .. kinda. My best part last time i went was the 3-4-all. Me and a buddy were sneekin around the ditches and found three ppl just sittin there chattin, paintball guns not in hand. we jumped out and WASTED our guns on em. of course they were angry so we legged it (they were 3 years older than me) 1 of em ad sweet aimin. The ditches are like a maze, we had gotten outa their reach, but i stuch my head above the ditch to look around. a paintball cums curvin up outa another ditch and hits me rite in the back of the neck.. ouchies

i wouldn't say that PS and Halo or even CS teach you a ton of tactics-at least not as much as a game like Day of Defeat, where getting shot once by just about any gun means instant death.

But online gaming is no substitute for the real thing

Maybe you should try a game in wich you need to use spelling and if anyone is dumb enough to not have their guns in hand at a paintball game... they suck, wich means your playing FPS's had nothing to do with your aiming skills.

Tracking (aka aiming in front of your target) is basic tactics. It's common knowledge that a gun, even more paintballs are not point and hit (instant bullet travel).
