Totally agree. It would not bother me a bit if guns were outlawed. That doesn't mean I support it by all means, because I know that would lead to mass hysteria (not to mention I would be flamed off these boards). I just personally don't see the point in owning a gun unless you are really into the sporting element of it. Even then, there are plenty of vastly cheaper alternatives to guns that entail doing the same thing (target practice). Wouldn't archery be a good substitute? Anyway I'm sure I'm missing something that makes guns so appealing since I am biased against them.

EDIT: OMA, that's a nice gun, but if you're looking for something for home defense purposes, I'd suggest a smaller caliber - i.e. a 9mm - because a) the ammo is cheaper and b) some judges would argue that a 40 or a 45 is using "excessive force"

That applies to everywhere except the southern states where you can shoot people tresspassing with no questions asked .
