I went to my first day today. I show up, the boss's wife isnt in yet, so I wait around. 25 minutes later

she shows up. I get my shirt (XXL, I wear a M) and my hat. I change, and get started on training. Good news? I'm gonna be working 25-30 hours a week. I will be making $8.00 an hour (fucking woot, only cooks get this wage) and i'll be cooking only. That means: No mopping, dusting, dishes, vacuuming, taking out the trash, sweeping. I'll be answering phones/taking orders, and spending most of my time cooking. Cook's rarely do any work.

I'm happy about this job. Good wages, hours, and people. We always have a cuet little betty working the register, either the owner, or his wife, and 2 cooks and a Driver (or 2). Works out great. Now, the bad news of the night

I was going to get some cheese out of the big walk-in freezer. For those who dont know, walk-in's are like walk-in closets, but they freeze stuff

. And the door to said walk-in is huge, like a vault door. Well, the door is kind of old and to open it you have to use a little brute force. I used too much, swung it open, and caught it between the door and the wooden make table. OUCH! First thing I think is "Shit, I'm fucking up already". Then the owner's wife says to me:

Owners wife: David....go to the bathroom
Me: What? Sorry, was an accident
Owners wife: Oh my...holy....quick

(at this point I finally look down)

My hand was dripping blood like a faucet and I was bleeding all over the place. I was too emberassed that I didnt even realize it. After running it under water, I got it bandaged. The nail itself was black and blue, and i'll probably lose it

I tried to be hardcore and take a pic for you, but I couldnt bear to take off the bandaid. It was stuck to the nail, and pulling on the adhesive hurt like a motherfucker. I got a pic anyways.

It's throbbing like a bass drum right now.

I'm exhausted. I'm going to sleep.

You know Squeeky we had a great thread derailing going on about Hamma and you had to ruin it by your injury. j/k.

That must hurt like a bitch. Were they upset with you about the door? I hope not. Take tylenol to help curb the pain. You may want to take the badnage off (even though it will kill) so that they sticky part isn't right on where you are injured. Taht isn't good to have there.

Good news is maybe the hottie will give you some, erm, 'sympathy'.
