WoW Enlists Radical Name Rules

Please ignore the fact that I do not play WoW, but my sister does
I just saw this when my she logged on and we're like WTF!!!

here are the 13 new rules added for names...



roflrofl, no leet language?! no gods or deities!?
wtf....

I know some of these are reasonable but when I trial played everyone had names that defied those rules.... what are they gonna do to them, ban them?
and the superheros part.. could this may have been sparked from
city of heros?

I tend to disagree here. While, yes, certain naming rules are necessary, such as no explicitaves in names, but making naming customs stricter isn't going to dissuade someone from playing the game. So if a retard who wanted to play the game wanted to make a name that broke the rules, and it dind't work, then he's just simply going to choose a name that works, but he's still going to be a complete jerk in the game regardless of his name.

It's funny, but a few years ago I would think those were dumb rules, now I find I agree with all of them.

Thing is, they aren't enforcing the more blatant ones. My friend and I saw a guy named Ghimli a few weeks ago in Flats. We killed him (as we do every alliance we see), and then camped him (something we don't do unless they deserve it) because of his name. I've also seen Legolas around, as well as the basically most famous guy on my server, Vash. But w/e it doesn't really bother me that they have those names, just that they are getting by without reprecussion while cool guys such as "Puppybasher" are forced to change their names.
