Yeah sorry for another spec thread, I'm upgrading my processor.
Now my question is this, here is my mobo http://usa.asus.com/prog/spec.asp?m=P4B266-C&langs=09 it says my mobo can hold a pentium 4 1.4 to 2.2+ and only 400 FBS, so I want to know if my mobo can handle a 2.4 or 2.6 400mhz p4 processor? And if so any testimonials on 2.2, 2.4, and 2.6 performance for PS? thanks |

First off, wrong forum. Next time use the tech forum please.
Aside from that I would suggest that you buy a Asus P4C800-E Deluxe as a replacement. It supports the slightly newer Pentium 4 "C" which has an 800mhz FSB which brings a great performance boost. http://usa.asus.com/prog/spec.asp?m=...eluxe&langs=09 But, if you decide not to, yes, I believe that you motherboard supports the 2.4 and 2.8 versions of the P4"B" No testomional, sorry. P.S. If you decide to get the new mobo, I can help you overclock your processor to pull even more power out of it for less wallet thinning.
