I don't like that idea because that means that the agiles get weaker weapons AND weaker armor. This then means that the cons outweigh the pros (speed), and you'd have everyone walking around in rexo tanks.

they do that already though, dont they?

or just make it so you cant carry it in a skeeter/reaver/lib to stop the tower droppers, actually make them use a galaxy and teamwork, also a good reason to bring back some sort of non-dropship center craft too carry troops ala' phantasm

Nah, pilots wouldn't wear Rexo, guys like me who can't spare the certs wouldn't wear Rexo. Basically, the heavy infantry, the dedicated grunts, they'd wear Rexo. Everyone else would not. Isn't that the way it's suppose to go? I think people who drop from aircraft onto towers with HA weapons are a cancer in this game that makes the Galaxy useless in most situations, so I have no problem with that mode of play being done away with by doing something like this.
