Just got game now WTF

Ok me and a friend just got the game and we have been to many sites but what i don't understand is why every freakn faction **bleep** about there weapons sucking the most -_- (wtf) so we cant decide. can u Vets give us a idea on what we need to look for in choosing a team that best suits are play styles like give us some pros and cons of all the factions because were so confused

Don't know what your play style is. No matter what you play there are people who complain about the faction, just choose any of them. If you like high fire rate with lesser impact, choose TR. If you want high impact and lower fire rate pick NC. If you want neato lazer beams pick VS.

well my play still is ranged combat i tend to do better farther off than up close reasons being my friend and i play halo and i beat him in ranged combat with same weapons and he beats me with close combat weapons of the same type.

NC isn't a great choice for ranged, you would want TR or VS in that case, unless you are going to be a sniper, then pick any empire.

VS are best with ranged, I think, they are the only people that can kill me from a few miles away, and me not knowing what happened. I play NC, Like the AV and MA for them, the gauss, in my opinion, is the best weapon in the whole game, as its powerful, medium ranges, and doesnt slow you down too much. For a ranged player though, dont play NC.

TR is sounding good challanges are fun > and having alot of bullets is fun to only problem is me and my friend might go seperate ways i just gave him a call and he wants to go NC ; ; guess i make a NC character i guess even though i suck at CQC

If you do play NC, take this advice (and like ranged combat)

-Dont cert HA
-Cert Sniping
-Always carry a Gauss
-When you cert sniping, cert ATV and Rexo, that is an excellent combo
-If you dont like CQ, just roam the Courtyard, or the country side

That should pretty much cover the basics on a non cqc-nc solider. (also cert AV is you like guided missles)

MagMower is bad. HA is great for the NC. I suggest that you cert HA, and you use personal shield as one of your implants which you get at battle rank 7, 12, and 18.

I've played PS more or less since launch and never certed HA for more than a day. Screw HA, I can beat most HA users with my Rocklet Rifle or a Sweeper anyhow.

Edit- I'm a ranged player and I primarily play NC. The Guass rifle is great at range, and the Phoenix is a great ranged AV weapon. Check out my sig for my sniper guide.

He said dont cert HA because he was interested in long range combat
