well I was hoping to get more than 1 person to answer it so I could check out some things, but it seems as though planetside 2 doesnt exist. That guy is just full of shit.

More evidence of typwn being full of shit. I was talking to him recently and he told me that he used his PSP as a GPS device with out any hardware add ons or anything... just software. I knew he was full of shit, but I played along and installed the software that was supposed to do this. It dosent work (duh). Aparently he later explained that the PSP has what he calls "non real time GPS". In his own words:

Thats right... I installed a map on my PSP because this idiot called it non real time GPS...

And for everyone else besides ridean who is probably confused. This is the same guy who was telling Ridean about planetside 2

Yea I called him out on being full of shit, and he said "Well they didnt say they were making planetside 2, but they said a new FPS!" Now this is true, SOE's president did say himself they were making a new FPS. But is there ANY indication its going to be planetside 2? Didn't they lose money on planetside? How fucking stupid do you have to be to make a sequel to a game you lost money on?!?!?!?

Thats entirely different. Im guessing microsoft knew they were going to loose money on the Xbox. They diddn't care, they had money to loose. They wanted a foothold in the console industry and they got it. Planetside was not the same kind of investment.

Well, they're still losing money on each 360, so really the only difference here is that Microsoft has the ability to burn $4 billion, whereas SOE doesn't.

Where has it ever been said from SOE that they lost money with Planetside? I highly doubt that if they've lost money that they would let the game last 3 years. Sure, maybe it wasn't the big money maker that they hoped it would be but I don't think that they went into the red with Planetside.
