Right now BWC is regularly running a squad nightly to prep for PS: N We ran a training op Monday night for some new recruits and are always happy to take the time to familiarize players both old and new with our tactics. Any one interested is welcome to send myself or any member an in game tell.

PS:N got me back into the game after 5 years. I would not have done it if it wasn't for BWC. Come see why for yourself the organization and training sets the bar and lets you know what to expect from those next to you in the firing line.

Still a raw recruit here... Here's my horror story / burning flame (stand back y'all) about the BWC, read at your own discretion!
Here's my thread in my own words http://www.planetside-universe.com/f...ad.php?t=35782 demanding what I was looking for in an outfit. I received a reply and a PM from the outfit head, Firefly. Later that evening, I posted on their recruitment forums and received a response almost immediately. I managed to link up with some of their folk in game a day or two later, and was invited into the outfit. Before the invite though, I showed a modicum of initiative and scoured their website ----> http://www.the-bwc.com/ for as much information as I could (after registering, of course). My first thought was, 'What the hell am I signing up for?' I've seen them in action back in 2006 and even considered signing up with the Black Widow Company back then, but didn't. Would you like to know why? I come from a PvE background, raiding and all. And the tougher the raid guild, the more ego is thrown around... Eliteism, holier than thou, and a healthy dose of disrespect for newbs or folks getting used to the game. In other words, you'd better know your shit or fuck off. Those are raid guilds, and from my initial impression of BWC and their “we're the best the Terran Republic have to offer and we damn well know it!” I shied away from signing up because of my past experiences... … I really do wish I signed up earlier. Why? Here's the kicker. They are tough as nails. They really do have their shit together. They strive beyond to be the best, and although new recruits have a few things to take care of initially... The BWC teaches exactly how to work in a unit. From working effectively in a small squad all the way to multiple platoon encounters. I was told many times by various members that only you determine your level of involvement. Meaning, if you don't want the responsibility of being an officer, then be a grunt, it's all good. But if you want to lead, it's not just handed to you. You gotta work for it. So you determine how far you want to go. They're not a bunch of ego-bruised brutes out to tear you down for shits and giggles, but just don't act like an assclown or they'll tear you apart (who likes an ass clown anyways?). They'll do that because they want the same thing everyone else wants... to have fun. Yes, discipline and order are expected but in return you get a bunch of folk that will push you up and recognize you when you've done good. Plus they are a blast to just hang out with. They will teach you everything they know, provided you un-learn the garbage you picked up while rollin' wit da z3rg! Maybe I've said too much, maybe not enough; but my suggestion to everyone playing TR is... Do you think you're the best? If so, check out the BWC, they'll teach you things you may have forgotten or just never thought of. Are you a zergling and fed up of bullshitting around? If so, check out the BWC. Are you a newb? Then this is the best place for you to be because they will train you to be the best. I'm 8 or 9 days in with this outfit and if I don't make the cut (two week evaluation period), then I can proudly say that I learned how to do certain things properly instead of wandering around aimlessly like a fucking n00b going, “LOL, I gotz da lash-spam, lulz.” So much for a horror story, eh? |

BTI II Training Op tonight at 8pm
The BWC regularly conducts training ops to not only help new players learn the basics of Planet Side, but players of all experience levels to learn how to work effectively as a team. We strive for perfection, but do not ridicule ignorance. So long as you're willing to learn, we'd love to have you. |

I used to love the organized operations I did with my old crew back in the day. I've had this itch to come back to Planetside for a while now and really miss the teamwork. I used to be in a small outfit called Platoon 3092 led by someone called Osurac back on Markov server before all this... merging. I never played on Emerald, but I guess we're all stuck on Gemini now, right?
My work schedule is erratic, but I think I might find myself playing this game more with Next looming on the horizon. I tried the zerg thing a couple nights and it got old fast. If you see me online, toss me a squad/outift invite so I can have fun the way I used to have in this game. |
