Transfer Existing Characters?

I've been playing since '07 and im BR 20, I hope we could transfer are avi's so we wont have to start from scratch..We probably will though.

I can't imagine they'd do anything other than a name reservation, and I doubt they'll do that.

At most I think we'll see outfit name reservations.

I agree with Bags. I would be very surprised if we saw anything else besides possibly name reservations but I doubt we will see that either.

And why do you think that it will be probable that they will do this?

I do not see a reason why SOE would put something like this in PsN. So what if you played Planetside? It is not the same game and there is no reason why you should get something special in PsN only because you played PS.
If this were the case, then the moment that PsN launches, probably more than half of all the players will be BR20 or higher and thus removing a large part of the progress in PsN.

And I agree with the two posts above me, name reservation only.

Its a new game, a fresh start. The most wonderful time in any mmo is right at the start when everyone is just as clueless as everyone else.

Name reservation(though I want to change mine anyway so meh), and maybe a unique skin/model gun(but same stats) for PS vets would be cool. Or a unique helmet or something.

I really don't see anything of this nature happening.

If anything there will be an early access period for pre orders or something but nothing like reserving a character.

It would be nice if we got a medal distinguishing us as crusty old vets, but I wouldn't ask for anything else. The only thing I'm debating is whether my character's voice will have broken, or if I should still give him the equivalent of "greenhorn" when the game ships.

I am looking forward to re ranking up to be honest. Everyone should rank up together at the start for sure.

I want my name though. I really hope they use the same naming "filter" they use in PS lol.. so I can keep my other character's (alt/sniper/jerk) name - "LongRodVonHugenDong" or "SucksZORZyourbuttZORZ"

I had to name my WoW priest "Foofieboo" because they were out of decent names. I'd really hope I don't have to do that to PS:N.

agreed, a merit would make me happy maybe the ability to reserve names as well though i doubt mine is in high demand lol

im against the hole transfer thing though, i always enjoyed earning my BR's and CR's if it was just given to me then whats the point

Yeah, I'd much rather have the current name system(WAAWAAWAAAWEEGREATSUCCESS, WOLFWOLFWOLFWOLFWOLF, XXXXXvillanovaXXXX, etc) minus being able to do ilililillili than the bastard one blizzard uses. srsly, one capital letter?

Can't tell if serious.

Does anyone really have an odd name like that? I just use "Sirisian" in games which is one capital. All caps seems childish, but some people do have more than one capital.

There's an NC guy named the wawawaawwweewaagreatsuccess in all caps, a tr with the name WOLFWOLFWOLF, and a TR with the name xxxvillanovaxxxx, so yeah.

I'd rather people have freedom to make obnoxious names than restrict everyone to 8 characters and one capital.
