Free Trial?

I used to play back in 2004 and recently I have been wanting to play some Planetside again but wanted to grab free trail first to check it out. I looked around some and didn't find one then looked around some more and found out they stopped giving 14 day trails out because of abuse by hackers. I wondering if the game had some sort of refer a friend type deal like some other games had so I could check it out to see if I wanted to resub or not.

Short answer: No.

It'll cost ya $15. While the game has seen a nice spike in population, it feels like its starting to drop off again. I havn't had that much time to play lately, but the weekdays seem to be getting thinner and thinner. I'm wondering what it will be like this weekend. Seems alot of people resubbed just for access to beta of PS:N, and with no word on that, they are starting to jump ship again.

I did the 15$ just to get my pallet wet too. It was a nice month. But Raymac is right. Without PSN info the playerbase is starting to dropoff again. I haven't seen a poplock in 3 weeks.
