The Shadows are also quite nice. The bushes cast shadows on the guy, he also has self shadowing. And also look at the grass. Gone are the days of giant grass bushes that makes it hard to see mines.

Everyone with a slight clue about modeling sees that those trees are low poly. But thats usual stuff for such objects, you cant just waste the count there. Yet, the textures look like high quality.
The rocks in the background are just fantastic, and if the game allows them to use them the way they look, such rock formations may provide useful cover for snipers. Just climb into one of those dark spots and be almost save.
If you look at the grass, you notice that the grass up front on the grass texture is green and alive, but the grass back on the sand is actually dead.

SOE guys: if you read this, Tell T-Ray and the art guys that they really did a fantastic job. I have seen lots of quality graphics in my live, but on those two screens you really feel the love those guys put into their work. <3

When I looked at them first I thought they were of real people in PlanetSide 2 uniforms :o Yep they're really well done.

Anyhow, while the pictures are awesome, reading about the team is cool too

And for those who missed it, apparently tomorrow there's a live video cast to further introduce the PS2 team!

notice TR on the left has a closed face helmet with a nub on the back of it and the TR on the right has a more open face helmet, except maybe with goggles? Other than helmet and weapons, their armor looks identical.

Customisation, or demonstration of different classes maybe?

Hey, I don't think you get to complain. High-CR NC were bright freaking yellow. The red was subdued in comparison.

Hmm. In the shot with the 2 TR, is it just me, or do they appear to have helmet visors that are pivoted up off the face, like the iconic knight's visor?

Not identical. The one of the right is the one we identify as the ReXO, the one on the left is what seems like an Agile equivalent.

Notice the shin guards and forearm armor on the soldier on the right. The one on the left shares the uniform, breastplate and knee pads, but lacks the two pieces I mentioned earlier. I think the "ReXO" also has that ridiculous "Eye of Sauron" belt buckle, not visible on this screenshot of course.

Edit: Nevermind, I managed to watch the trailer and the Repeater looks the same.
