There are no "two turrets" on the vanguard. In EVERY available screenshot, the 20mm recoilless cannons are pointing in exactly the same direction. The devs have stated that there are 2 crew members in a vanguard.
1 driver. 1 gunner. Driver drivers. Gunner guns. That's it. Prowler: 1 driver, 2 gunners. Each gunner controls an independant turret. Mag-Rider: 1 driver 1 gunner. I believe that the driver actually gets to control a weapon on this one. In all cases, tank turrets "gimballed". Their rotation is not affected by the rotation of the tank itself. This makes acurrate, on-the-move fire possible (particularly for the Vanu, whose projectiles are (presumed to be) unaffected by gravity). Note that only tanks have this feature... buggies and the like do not. |

The 20mm Chainguns can be switched to and from with the cannon by the gunner. He does not control both at the same time. The ONLY driver of any two man, or more, vehicle that controls a gun is the Mag-Rider driver, and that is because the cannon is a fixed cannon, so the person moving the vehicle needs to control the weapon. |
