Rant of the day. Nothing new in PS2?

So far we have seen nothing new in the PS2 arena. All we have seen is old done up and with shiny bells and whistles.

This would be cool, but as they are taking away from the game so much, what are they replacing it with? All Ive seen so far is troops and a few vehicles. Like most FPS. Now how about a pic with a 1000 players on it? Or a CC, or something more than a trooper, gun or vehicle. Or is that all the game is about?

We need to see more about the dynamics of the game. Everything else looks good, but what will it play like?

Good looking games are 10 a penny now a days, it needs to have what the old PS had, something no other game has, and I aint seen that yet.

Rant over.

PS, show us something more than what you have, it doesn't have to be big, just more about the games dynamics rather than looks compared to PS....

And yes you can put a fooking burger in the pic if you want

Why dont you rant elsewhere, where nobody sees it? Will be just as effective, because nobody cares.

Ranting wont make stuff appear faster. A game needs time to be created, they cant just shit information they dont have secure yet.

So what your saying is............ at this point they have no idea how the game is going to play?, how you will capture a base?, how you will pick your weapon load outs?, how a door will look?, how a vterm will look?, how a turret will look if there is any?, how anything else than all the old PS stuff will look? Show me one thing you have seen that wasnt in PS? ill give you a shiney!

Oh and if you think they are that far behind, then you will be waiting 2 years for this game.

I'm not bored m8, I've just been playing PS for a few hours. And it dawned on me. I'm going to be spending allot of money to play this game. Its going to be the most expensive F2P game I have ever played... in fact I have never played £1000 for a gaming experience before.

But I'm going to be doing it for PS2. Now would you pay £1000 for something you knew little about?

When your spending money on something you want to know about it a little more.

And after playing PS for so long, it gets you thinking.

And also the title says rant. So did you expect anything else?

There was a time not long ago where the only info you where getting for a game coming in the next 12 to 18 month where just pics and maybe some cheap video. But so far SOE has given us a little test of the game on a daily bases; we have become so impatient and spoiled is unbelievable…

I agree that they are doing a bit much just revamping old stuff.. We don't need all the old vehicles to make a comeback, and some brand new ones would be nice. So far, the only thing they've announced that is brand new aside from the jetpacks is the Dyson.

Per the rest.. Dude, they are showing us untextured production assets. That is unheard of. Chill out with the entitlement. We'll get stuff when they decide to give it to us, which will be a while, as they are still in the middle of making the game.

I started paying for PS2 when I got my new internet connection 4 weeks ago. And thats is about 50 a month. Now that will rise soon when I get my PC.

And the internet, twitter, youtube, google, are all the reasons its changed. Nothing more. SOE has been posting more about there dinners than PS2.

But all I'm getting at is, they say beta is next year? well I don't see it happening. And some of the SOE team post pictures, but either they are keeping alot of stuff from us or they have nothing to show. they don't reply much in the PSU PS2 ideas forum so we know nothing.

Now I dont want to drag up bad news, but bad news can stick around for a long time. Like the Core Combat expansion from SOE. I paid good money for that and to be fair it was shit.

Now im going to be paying good money to play Planeside 2. Just like I have paid good money to play PS. Now when people pay me to do a job they get a bloody good job, as best as I can do and with all the bells and whistles.

So is it not my right to expect more from SOE?

Im not hitting on the folks who are making it, they are doing there jobs. I'm hitting on the overall marketing of it. Even the magazine scans look poor.

What is the point in telling you everything about the game before you actually play it? Surely a deal of excitement from playing a new game must come from the unknown?

To the OP, maybe a lot of things arent completed? They stated they will reveal things as they are set in stone. Why would they wanna give core info out now when the game is probs still a year away.
