Vehicle Deconstruction

I heard about a month and a half ago that they have taken out vehicle deconstruction/storage. Is it true? That would make my favorite passtime pointless (hijacking aircraft of various kinds, mostly Galaxies). I was hoping on the days I'm just not getting any, I could dip into my locker and pull something out for a poorly-equipped noob (minds OUT of the gutter, please). I hope they keep this in or put it back. Any thoughts?

you cannot disassemble a vehicle, or store it for that matter, you can put it in the sanctuary and lock it, no one will be able to take it.

Where did you get this information? Last I heard you could deconstuct a vehicle, store it in your locker, and reconstruct it at a vehicle pad. I try to keep up with PlanetSide and have heard nothin about what you're saying except when they still had garages on the sanctuary.

It was stated by a dev that they have scrapped deconstructing vehichles. It was formaly in the game so you wouldn't have to destroy a tank so the enemy wouldn't be able to get it.

This was removed long ago, you can only own one vehicle at a time. And you cannot store it somewhere when you logout.

And for some reason I coulda swore I heard a dev say you could store vehicles in your locker and can only reconstruct them at vehicle stations. It mighta been before they were taken out, but this wasn't too long ago i dont think.

Anyways, if they did take it out, someone should inform PSI so they can update their info

Thats really sucks if they took it out, I planned on having a stack of NC tanks in my locker.

Hamma if this was removed "long ago" as you state, why havent the Planetside.info people reflected this change.

I personally think it sucks, was looking forward to deconstruction.

from the PSI FAQ - which is better than the non existant PSU one :E but at least PSU one isnt full of errors!
Can I store vehicles?
Yes. By deconstructing a vehicle, you can store it in your inventory. We do not know how much space or time it takes though.

No way to save vehicles. Damn. WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?! *gasps for air* Oh well (sniff). I can still piss off or strand people...heh heh. I'll have to find another favorite passtime with a more lasting effect, though. Possibly securing/establishing respawn points at towers everywhere I can deep in hostile territory. Still need a crack dropship squad.

Vehicle respawn times are in the game for a reason, and it is the same reason you can't store vehicles.
