I'm with the Vanu

In one of those new screenshots that Hamma posted I just noticed that in the dropship center there were a ton of coffins. This brings to my mind a few questions:
1) Is there an option to turn off coffins, IE make it so we do not see them. If larger battles lag will be a problem, and there will be lotsa coffins, less lag if no coffins there, also a ton of coffins looks kinda foolish, though a few are cool. 2)How long to coffins last? Until looted? 6 mins? 3) Can you loot some ones coffin if they are of your empire? |

Personaly I think no matter how long coffins actualy last, people are going to be goign through them for anythign they can find. I can see spawning in a base with no power, having your locker empty. So you gotta go silently take out an enemy somewhere behind the base or something to equip yourself. I think it's going to be very commonplace to see people with weapons not of their empire. Like i'll take my gause cannon wherever I go but I'd rather yoink one of those Vanu pistols personaly. I was never one for the shotgun (or shotgun pistol for that matter)

since we are on the topic of coffins i thought i would bring something up. Can u have more that 1 coffin at a time or does the oldest one disappear as soon as u die and the recent one stays(im not sure if i explained that right so evan i know what im talking about)? I think coffins should last until u die again that that one disappears and the recent one stays so u don't have to keep staring at ur graves everywhere.

I will have a little respect for the dead and not loot.

I don't know if turning off coffins would be wise or possible. They aren't just an object in the world that you don't need to see, they are somewhat important. Coffins will probably have a timer so they don't last forever as just spam, also if they are completely looted I bet they dissapear. I also imagine you can't have more then one coffin. And yeah, you can your own empire's coffins. |
