Anti-Waterborne-Vehicle Torpedo

Planes can equip them. See that Magrider/Raider/whatever that is taking to the water? Fly over, lock on, and let'er drop.

Now let's see them exploit water!

By having proximity fusing, which, would be, obviously the way to go, they would be able to explode directly under the Magrider. I figured that was the obvious fusing choice.

Maggy was always underpowered. So unless there's naval warfare in the game - I say no torpedos.

Maggy underpowered? AA sniping, infantry sniping, sit on water and snipe tanks, run away when damaged... Not underpowered. As for the OP, nah. Wait for naval warfare.

LMAO.

Torpedo mags all you want.
It won't do you any good firing torpedo's at them.
Why?
Cause they float ABOVE te water u might aswell try to torpedo a low flying reaver

Proximity fuse. They have been used on torpedoes for over sixty years.

Proximity fuse is a LIE! Everything explodes on impact. And the Earth is round. Prove me wrong!

Mag: Best tank in the game: Not sure why it wasn't nerfed.

I'll happily admit that =P

As to torpedos another Trakk troll thread, i'm not surprised really

None of my threads are troll threads. I actually like the idea of having some counter to waterborne vehicles that is also waterborne. Just because something isn't something you agree with doesn't meant it is trolling.

I like the idea. Until naval warfare is part of this game torpedoes may be too limited in its use to merit implementing it into PS2 anytime soon.

If the only thing I can target are Mags or Delis over water ..... I think I'd put something else in my aircraft load-out.

Yeah, this is why this is a mediocre idea, because Naval Combat isn't even confirmed for post release and what HAS been confirmed is that it won't be in at launch.

It would just be too niche a weapon without naval combat. Like putting in a Jackhammer seeking missile.

Oooo, Jackhammer seeking missile, that's actually a great idea. It could wind it's way through corridors, avoiding walls and obstacles until it found a Jackhammer wielder.

Wait, where was I?

Oh yes.

If and when the devs start developing naval combat in earnest, then it will be a more appropriate time for this sort of idea, although torpedo bombers are such an obvious thing that I would be surprised if the devs didn't include them in a naval expansion by default.

mag is the best AV tank, but for all purpose, vanguard wins.

I agree with Xyn, lets have a farsight than can only gib jackhammer and scat users because they're overpowered in close quaters and need a counter.

I would laugh at an anti-Jackhammer grenade that turned the barrels back at the user like an Elmer Fudd cartoon. Too idiotic for the game, but hey, it would make a few funny videos!
