Does anyone happen to know of an application that can create a relatively realistic planet with a variety of geographic terrain? Something that can simulate an entire planets surface randomly and create something that can be comparable to say Earths detail (not in graphics but in design, terrain locations, etc) Trying to design a world for a book series but want to give a go at planet that can be realistically simulated

Terragen? It's a 300 USD program for generating photo-realistic scenery images.
