quit starting rumours,I read everything I can find about PS2 both here and anything that shows up on Google and I haven't heard a whisper of that crap from anyone that would be in the know.

I doubt chinese beta at first would be optimal. I suppose SoE still does the coding regardless of what the9 is. Fixing bugs is much easier when the coder understand the bug report

Did anyone notice that the Prowler shots had no arc. seen from the trail of smoke. Does this mean that all tanks have no arc? I would of liked to of seen a mag in there on water.

The arc is there, it's just a lot flatter now (more realistic and more along the lines of how it is in BF).

Also, I kind a feel like The9 must've jumped the gun on this one. If you watch the video, the only thing that suggests that it was a China-exclusive video is the The9 Chinese logo at around 0:10 and 2:00 where Hackney talks about their partnership with The9. Other than that, it seems like a piece-together job from interviews and gameplay trailers. They don't have a Chinese dub (using subtitles instead), nor is the Chinese PS2 logo in that video (even though it's all over their website). They even that the ERSB 'Not rated' thing as part of the intro, which is definitely a North American thing (Europe has their own system, and China doesn't have one at all, as far as I know).

It's not unusual for companies to send out promotional material ahead of the scheduled release date, and I feel like someone at The9 must've conveniently misplaced the piece of paper with the designated release date on it. SOE probably sent this out to a bunch of people, and they just posted it before it was time. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if Mr. Hamma has the HD version we are eagerly awaiting.

If I had to guess...and I do, I don't think The9 jumped the gun with this vid at all. They were launching their new website, so it's not outrageous to think they would have something exciting to go along with that launch. We had the beta sign up, and they had this video. As great as the video is, I'll take beta thank you.

Plus, like Higgity said, it's on the internet so it's there for all of us.

Yeah but I can't help but feel slightly cheated about it. Partly because we didn't get at the same time, but mostly because it's in China, there's no HD version for us to "zoom in, enhance.... zoom in enhance" and nitpick all the juicy bits out of it. I like the beta signup, but as a fan, that took me a whole of 5 seconds to do, while 2 min of gameplay... I could take several weeks dissecting that in every direction.

And even though Mort did a good job of bettering it, if the original picture is so blurry, there's only so much enhancements you could do.

you would think so, i suggested the idea long ago for PS, it was met with negative comments, mainly from people that gunned vanguards surprisingly, generally like"well if you don't like it you should spawn somewhere else" but off course, not everybody likes a decent fight.
