Because it's a loaded question with an obvious answer.
The problem isn't so much the 100 ping person, it's the 200-400 ping people. So sure, because of the broadband infrastructure in the US, you can have people with similar or even slightly higher ping than UK players. However the only way to do anything about that is drop anybody that get a ping over 100 which is just not a realistic solution because even the best of us get spikes. So it sucks that the baby has to get thrown out with the bathwater and the 100 ping UK player gets lumped in with the 400 ping Hungarian, but life isn't fair. That's why I'd love to see them have International Servers to make everyone happy. |

Planetside is the best case to compare it to, since there has never been a game like it before or since. An acceptable level will be on par with other current games like BF3. Just because your only option in PS is to play on an overseas server doesn't mean it is acceptable for all of the people who will potentially play this game. We get it, you like the community aspect of this game the most, and you want to stick with the same group you have been with. Others would rather play a game they like without their clan, rather than play a game they don't like with their clan. SEMANTICS SEMANTICS SEMANTICS PREFERENCES SUBJECTIVITY Of course everyone is upset because they don't get play with their buddies. However, there are some people who have lashed out in rage and are blaming "evil corporations" for this. How is wanting less lag hypocritical? How is that "bias" any different than those who don't care about performance as long as they can play with their clans? If anything, it's a great solution. International clans can play on those international servers, while people who care about the playability of the game can stick to the region-locked servers. It just seems like you're very, truly upset at the events that have happened recently, and looking to vent. May I suggest the official PS forums? There's plenty of fodder there. |

This is/was about region lock, but most of what there is to be said has been said in the past 50 pages. Supposedly they're working on a solution, so we have to wait and see what that solution consists of. If it's not satisfactory, then we can continue voicing our complaints. |

I'm sorry to bring it back guys, but are we just putting pressure on SOE because we don't want Ip-Blocking, or because the whole "letting Pro7 manage PS2" is a bad thing?
I know locked servers are a big issue, but as a european player, I won't be satisfied as long as I'll still have to rely solely on Pro7 for updates/supports, locked servers or not. I want SOE to assure us that we will be treated just like US players will be, and nothing else, so please, european players, don't focus only on region locked servers: there are other important things at stake here. |

I mean if you take a step back and look at SOE's track record, especially lately, I don't see how anyone can honestly say they would feel safer. No corporation is perfect, but I don't think it's fair to convict somebody for a sin they haven't committed yet. |

Raymac, english aint my primary language so "deliquent" isnt a known word for me, but the posting of real names had nothing negative to it. It was about people who made wire transfers to them, but either wrote wrong or otherwise failed to type in correct account ID where to give the points to.
And as it was done with wire transfer and a faulty account ID, all they had was the persons name and they had no direct way to contact most of them if people didnt have their real names in their profiles. So they posted the name to that thread so the people would know that the money arrived, but they were unable to give the person "the goods" cos of failed account ID/something like that. The list of real names was NOT about who didnt pay in time etc.

Thanks for the clarification Core. That actually sounds fairly reasonable then. I thought it was more of "here are the low lifes who owe us money" which would have been really messed up, but I guess that's not the case. Thanks.
