I just saw the new screenshots and I gotta say is pretty disappointing.
I mean the whole reason I was attracted to the Terran republic was because of black and red but seeing the colors just being grey, totally makes it look like crap. Now I know that the original TR Armor looked kind of grey when you were levels from my memory and perhaps you need to unlock the red and black but when I see the VS armor, is pretty fucked up IMO. VS armor has the VS armor.....Terran Republic Armor has not red and black, I mean at least put a little red and black if they want the user to unlock a sick looking carnage type red and black armor. Same goes with NC, it looks way too similar to TR....and no yellow and blue. Seems to me like their is a bias for VS..... |

One can assume that you'll be able to customize, to some degree, the colors of your armor.
I think they actually stated that you'll be able to pick colors within your empires pallet. Everything they've shown thus far is just the base model, we're supposed to be able to have a wide array of options to be able to customize our armor and weapons. That includes color. At least I think so |

Not to worry. If you've played PS1. You'll know that when you first start out as BR1, you're outfit is pretty much all greyed out with a touch of red. As you level and gain BR, your armor becomes more red and attractive.
Im sure this is the same for PS2, those screenshots are just of low level grunts. Hope this helps. |

Just the senior art director being VS...no bias at all ¬¬
But its so you the low level guys will look like the generic soldier and as you rank up/acquire camos you look more and more distinct on the battle field. |

Because colours aren't enough like BF and CoD?
It might also have something to do with not standing out so much. Although that idea is quickly defeated if people have names and health bars. |

Although they did mention common pool "camouflage" textures D:

Hmmmm... I think the fact that the game is more realistic in means of graphics also means that it should be at least a bit more realistic in means of design. Because "purple from head to toe" camo only works when proned amongst eggplants...
