We were waiting for the Terran convoy to pass through the valley. We were to take out the convoy and secure a safe route for the Conglomerates to pass through and flank the Terrans. Our outfit was on a winning streak, 7 battles. There were 15 of us, 6 on one hill and 9 on the other hill. We thought we were the best and we would win again. Others said the Terran were tough and we would have a hard battle.
They stared comming down the valley. They had 25 men, a mosquito, and a harasser. We fired 2 pheonixes, 1 hit and destroyed the mosquito but the other only flipped the harasser, which provided cover and minor fire power. Me and the 5 other soldiers slid down the hill to take the rear while the other 9 soldiers slid down the other hill to take the front. We fired our last pheonix and got rid of the harasser.
None of us were ready for what happened next. A Terran soldier had brought a Striker and shot it into the front. 5 men were killed and 2 were injured. They charged the front and killed everyone. We could here the screams of pain from the rear, it sent chills down our spines. We continued to fight regardless.
With 6 soldiers left we weren't in good shape versus their 14 men. We knew not to kill the commander or else the Terran would get too anxious and charge, we needed time. We were running low on ammo and some of us were using MAG-Scatters. Bad luck hit us again when someone shot the enemy commander. The Terran knew they had it in the bag and charged us. We could only manage to get a few shots off before they got to us and killed us all.
Winning only leads to losing.
