PS2 Promotional Poster

Seeing as how I want this game to succeed and I'm afraid of what SOE might / might not do to advertise this game, I'd like to take matters into my own hands, so to speak.

I, as well as several others here, live on a military base. There are lots of public places to post bulletins. Additionally, the military crowd (particularly Marines, from what I see) is big into FPS games.

If someone were to design something I could fit on 8 1/2 x 11 (and maybe a little bigger) I would post it all over the place. Others might be interested in doing this as well.

Anybody want to hook this up?

Well, how about some of those awesome propaganda stuff on the fan art thread?

Some of them in higher resolution with "www.planetside2.com" at the bottom could make people curious.

If you're overseas, I propose you drop leaflets into enemy territory and spam them until they join NC, because inside every one of them, there is an American trying to get out.

Sabrak's got the right idea here. There's several great pieces in that thread, some for all the empires. They've all got different tones if you're worried about that. I think that the pieces in that thread are mostly - if not all specific to an empire. If you're thinking about posting things all over that shouldn't be a problem - you could make sure that all the empires get some coverage. And you could put two or three on the same board so that people can see right there that there might be options for them. Maybe find a good way to combine 2 empires onto a single poster so that the conflict is more obvious?

SOE might take issue with it, but I don't plan on doing anything stupid or obnoxious. The way I look at the situation, is that it is OUR game too, and the community should do what it can to spread the word and generate some interest.

Don't worry Whalenator, there will be no self-ass-making on my part

. I think I'd get myself in trouble with the base sergeant major or maybe MPs if I were to be obnoxious. The places I can put this kind of stuff are kinda limited though. I'm considering talking to comic/game shop owners out in town about putting some posters up.

I think it would be cool to find all the poster artists here and make people responsible for different ES posters. Also VS need posters too, because Official Fan Art thread is quite empty in that instance.
