Names

I wonder how bad sony/verant is gonna limit what you and your outfits can be called...
I know for everquest, anything that doesnt fit the "eq world" type name wouldnt be allowed, although I know this is a first person shooter, so its different, but still same evil company running it....
I'm thinking of perhaps tryin to make a outfit for New Conglomerate, with confederate in its name, hope i can do that... (NC should stand for New Confederacy) hehe..

if they do restrict names big time, and i do want to make a outfit with something to do with confederacy, i'd find a name that they'd allow but have meaning for it..

I also thought of forming an outfit with the word confederates or confederacy in the title but the civil war nor the Confederate States of America crossed my mind at the time... I went with something else at the end.
But I don't think there should be a problem with the word unless the outfit itself is trying to adopt an offensive theme.

I don't think there will really be any limits on names beyond a max length (possibly) and lack of profanity/idiocy.

That means no "L33t Cr3w" and "The Pimp Alll Stars".

But then, who am I to say.

On the official forums I posted a similar question, and someone notice that in the background of one of the screenshots there is the name BetterThanDave. (I have no clue how they could read that :P )

This doen't tell us much about TOS concerning character names, however it does tell us that we can have atleast 14 letters.

I wouldn't mind if they made us stick to our real names... would give the game an umm... "air of seriousness."
But then what would you name your other characters...
and I don't think most players would like it.
