Whut?

Of course. The money you pay for PS1 is to play PS1.

However, there may be a subscription option for PS2, which might come with a small, small monthly injection of station cash, but don't hold your breath.

I don't know how Free Realms works, but a PS1 subscription would not apply to Planetside 2. I imagine a Station Pass would not help, but again, does it help Free realms?

Free Realms was all about testing the Free to Play model. Asian games have seen soo much success for a decade. I doubt the Station Pass will affect anything for you sine the whole subscription model is about to be phased out.

Can't say for certain, but I doubt it will.

Well, your 1st question included station cash. PS1 had nothing to do with station cash. SC is used in the F2P model games SOE has to buy cash shop items. The same will be true for PS2 where most of the cash shop items you will buy with SC are cosmetics.

As for PS1 sub converting to a PS2 sub, not sure. I would assume you will still have to activate a PS2 sub or have an All Access pass.

Your Planetside 1 Sub has nothing to do with PS2, other then Beta access.

I imagine the PS2 Sub will take $ or station cash

The Planetside 1 sub has nothing to do with beta access. It's about owning the game and signing up on the website.

I agree on the Subscription statement.

None of SOE's other subscriptions, including All Access, give Station Cash bonuses, why would PS2?

I get 500 station cash a month for my Station access. Have a recurring monthly fee (have a 'gold' eq/eq2 account from SA) so it includes 500 SC. If you pay from game cards or use SC to pay your bill I think it doesn't count.
Kind of an incentive to automatically pay your sub each month I guess. I actually pay 3 months at a time instead of 19.99/mo its 17.99/mo in 'bulk'. Link to price list

You can use this SC in any game.

Station cash is station cash AFAIK so that's why I posted this with info about eq/eq2 (probably also other games going F2P, think Vanguard just hit the F2P list too)

note the amount of cash per account is 500 so you can't for example get a Station access and play EQ+EQ2+in future if its similar PS2, and expect 1500. you get 500 for the SA account.

Hence the "might" and "don't hold your breath". Such words and phrases are used to indicate a low likelihood.

Why are you paying for a subscription if you still need to buy station cash?

What are you getting for your money?

Station All-Access currently gives you 500 station cash a month i believe...

Which for $AUD is like $20 and you get $6 worth of station cash a month. Pretty good if all their games except for PS1 weren't already going F2P ;p

Well I have no interest in playing SOE's fantasy games.

I will have to hope there is will be a specific plan for PS2. Otherwise I will have to start regretting not buying Smedbux a week ago when it was 2 for 1.

I can tell you now, you will always get another chance at 2-1. Be patient, beta is unnanounced and Higby mentioned something along the lines that they probably wouldn't be opening up the cashshop until they were pretty happy the game was almost ready for open beta / release
