So some of you know me.
I am 23, not working and waiting for college (GI bill funds) to start in May. I am looking for a game to play as I have burnt myself out on D3 beta, PS1, Bf3, and skyrim. I know firefall guys have beta keys to give away and I sure would love to try this game. However, if there is ANY games you guys think I should play feel free to give me ideas. I like Diablo style RPG's (not sure how I feel about buying torchlight), FPS, MMORPG's, and the common gamer type games. I tend to stay away from games with conversation choices IE SWTOR, Mass effect, as its really not my style because I like little talk, more action. EDIT: I have applied for beta's for almost every game in beta I am interested in. Firefall, GW2, the new CS, DOTA 2... but have not managed to get any invites. I am literally dying in boredom here. Can you guys give me some suggestions? Last edited by Synapses; 2012-03-26 at 04:24 PM. |

World of Tanks - Matchmaking, be a tank, shoot other tanks.
League of Legends - Lots of rage, can be fun, converts friends to enemies, MOBA DC Universe - Haven't played in a while, ftp MMO, actiony combat system with combos APB Reloaded - Lots of rage, pay2win, lots of customization, somehow fun, cops and robbers. It's like GTA online in a way. Bloodline Champions - Haven't played in a while, MOBA without minions, just heroes and an arena. |

LoL, played it, I suck horribly. I still have installed but I also still suck DC Uni, I tried it at release before it went FTP for some reason I couldnt get in to it. But maybe its worth trying again? APB, I have been with since it was in development and bought day 1, now days it feels like a pay to win game sadly. Bloodline Champions ill check out. Never heard of it. Thanks Gray Last edited by Synapses; 2012-03-26 at 05:02 PM. |

You can sign up for beta of this game called Salem : http://beta.salemthegame.com/?ref=0a572e36111
It takes place in colonial Salem MA - their aiming for an MMO where death is permanent - but you can obviously make a new character and see your own grave. Oh and obviously there's witchcraft... the game is called Salem and it should make sense since around here it's synonymous with Witches! Also Minecraft. <--- That's a must do for killing time!

I have been looking at Kingdoms of Amalur but I just cant bring my self to spend 60 bucks on a single player game with about 60 hours of game play to it.
I really wish I could get back in to Skyrim but its like, after the first 40 hours you have just about seen all the different kind of enemies your going to see. Dragons don't seem to be getting harder, and all the different enemies are just... easy peasy for my archer. I wish they had spent more time and put more enemies types/models in game. |

Saints row the 3rd is good game that recently came out if you like mindless killing.
If you like strategy games, Civ 5 will keep you occupied for hours. Natural Selection 2 is a fun game you can buy on steam. It's a fun FPS/RTS. Last edited by Sardus; 2012-03-27 at 12:03 PM. |

I uhh... have another dota 2 beta key right now... The real question with dota 2 is, "How do you feel about a learning curve similar to dwarf fortress?"
Wait wait, natural selection 2 is DONE? If I need another game I know what I'm getting. Love running around on ceilings, haven't been able to do it since AvP2. Just finished Stalker Clear Sky. Great game, recommend it if you enjoy a challenge but be sure to play the first one first (Shadow of Chernobyl). Clear Sky doesn't require quite as many underwear changes as the first (or maybe I'm just missing the horrible underground lab sections). Going to fire up Call of Pripyat soon so I can't speak to it. Btw, as former military the game is close enough to reality that its lack of various things you can do in reality might enrage you. I know a former Marine friend of mine was annoyed at how little he could carry and how quickly the sprint ran out. Seriously though, great games. Just wish they gave you a manual. Oh well, good luck!

This comes a bit late but if you haven't had the pleasure of playing Freespace 2 you should. The source code was released years ago and since then the community has updated and enhanced practically everything about it, and created some really stunning campaigns to play through.
