Possible for images not post as thumbnails?

If I attach/link to an image, it goes into "Attached Thumbnails" how do others just post the image?

It is probably linked elsewhere and they are using [IMG] tags.

Is there a delay in posting pictures? Does it need reviewed first or something? I believe Ive already tried linking with the IMG tag and it didn't seem to be working...I used the link from my about me section... We need help posting our logo in the recruitment thread for Praetorian Guard. Any ideas ? all we can get is the thumbnail..
Also I couldn't find the delete button for the failed attempts.. I believe I had to bother a moderator to take my posts down..as they are not there anymore, which is OK... Is there a secret way to delete a wrongful post?? I could not find a delete button anywhere!! and my keyboard delete button didn't seem to do the trick...their gone now at least...
