Dibs on the first hardcore parkour video.

If you want to kamikaze you should either A) Die with your asset or B) Be skilled enough to time your exit to not take damage and still hit the target.

You're just worried that you aren't good enough to deal with it and still pad your KDR.

Oh, and a big hearty "oh god please no!" to OHOK knives, you fight with knives, you don't play freeze tag with them.

You obviously didn't read the above posts, wherein I said that in Battlefield, you can't detonate until you get out of the vehicle. If you have to stop the vehicle and go through an exit animation like you do in Planetside, you will be blown away. If they make it so you can detonate from within the vehicle, that takes care of it.

I'm not a KDR player, you're way off base there. I fight for sandbox freedom, not CoD players.

EMP will detonate any explosive nearby (mine, boomer(c4)), so if you are suicide bombing and somebody hit you with one you just explode prematurely.

Thats how it worked in in ps1 and it worked fine. You need still vehicle to get in, and you could bail anytime with almost no animation delay if you are pasenger (drivers need to stop if they dont have vehicle from which they can bail out). And if you want bail out as a driver, vehicle should act randomly without driver and not drive in straight line to make it easier.

I didnt like that either. But i hated when ppl just automatically respawned, thinking it was fastest way even when they had medic next to them. Maybe they introduced that so ppl will more likely wait for res. But i doubt anything like increasing respawn time will be in ps2. It dont fit for that faster pace they want to.

So, immune to c4 ramming, then? Do you have to give anything up to use EMP?

For that matter, are we even talking about something that actually existed in PS1 or is known to exist in PS2?

Well here come whats PS all about. Teamplay. If you cant do it alone properly, team will help. You drive around filled with c4, right in the middle of enemy, and your teammate will blow it. No need to get out of vehicle. Thats team work

There was no way to put c4 on vehicle. So nothing similar in ps1.
EMP was in form of grenade (so you need to time well), or sunderer ability. It will be both in ps2, but you can choose other abilities for sunderer, so you sacrifice them. I dont expect emp for other vehicles.

That or they could improve on PS1 instead of taking away from it and add the ability to exit at speed at a health cost/slightly longer animation time. (most of it spent getting back on your feet) You could use teamwork and play as a guided missile too of course :V

Re: UK PCGamer Article Details - Explosives on Vechs and more

*Ahem*

WRAITH + C4.

So yeah. Not a fan of kamikaze C4 buggies, didn't like them in BF2 just on the principle that there are always more buggies than there are tanks along with that the buggy can one shot the tank but not the other way around. If they're in PS then we have invisible fast moving C4 ATVs. Didn't really like it either when the GDI team would fill the front of an APC with land mines and then rush the Obelisk of Light.

So let's take this tactic and bring it into PS2 and think about how it would be used.

First off, killing Galaxies. ATVs can be pulled anywhere, Galaxies can not. And since Galaxies are the respawn points... yeah.

Air dropped kamikazes. There's talk about have mods for Gals that allow them to transport ATVs. So yeah, I've got your bomber right here. Hope you weren't planning on being able to DEFEND or anything.

Watch this guy's stuff, almost entirely based around C4 usage.
Warning, is hilarious.

Entry Exit:

A quick discussion about how PS's bailing mechanics work. I think there's a lack of knowledge about this in the thread as there are BF players in here confusing boarding animations with never being able to quickly bail out of a ground vehicle which is incorrect.

In PS if you are a gunner or passenger you can bail at any time. The driver can or cannot bail depending on vehicle type. Open topped vehicles like ATVs, Buggies, and Skygaurds can be bailed from by their drivers. Closed top vehicles like the Sunderer, MBT, or AMS could not be bailed from.

Exit/Enter animations only occurred if the vehicle was at rest, however, you could only enter the vehicle if it was at rest or stable. This means no quickly jumping in and out of vehicles to dance around bullets and no bailing and reentering aircraft mid air (current version).

There's also something called vehicle ownership which allows the player who pulled the vehicle to control who can board the vehicle. Stealing enemy vehicles is also a lot more complex than BF's system. You need to have both the hacking cert and the cert that allows you to use the vehicle to steal and then operate an enemy vehicle.

Add F2P to that mix. Pull enemy vehicle (or MAX as you can put c4 on them) with second account, place your c4 on it, drive it next to enemy, detonate = free kills. They wont expect it as vehicle will be friendly, and it will be quite safe for you to get kills.

=ban and stat wipe more like. Only going to get abused by people not playing the game other than simply to grief, and even then they'll be dealt with and/or get bored of it.

Not to mention, it's easy to stop dual clienting on the same system, so they'd have to use another machine too.

Ewww, rigid turn speed? Sounds good on paper, but just feels disgusting to try and use.

I believe that, when i see it. This is usually promised by every company before release, and then quickly ignored.
