Sorry but no. Cool idea but this is game development in the real world and this would be a total waste of time for the team.

However I do like the idea of a hud icon of your character which shows where you take damage - like in UT99. That would take a fraction of the time to implement.

Autopsying reaver frags would be more of a puzzle than anything else.

What about a "hero killcam" mod where you can see your character bite the dust in slow-motion ?

Meh, yeah. It would be pretty hard to implement and it sounds like most of the community isn't all too hyped about it. That's ok.

What if we were to have an injury card detailing the entry and exit wounds, broken bones, and what not. next to the information of our killer?

We could create a dedicated class that handles all the autopsy reports, along with ensuring that all the spawntubes are working at 100% efficiency. This class would cater for everyone willing to play a dedicated support role, since without these players the other players would not be able to spawn.

This would create a very dynamic battle, much like "kill the VIP"-gameplay as seen in some other games. You would have to hide these, I'm going to call them Administrators, inside Class-A military bunkers so that they wouldn't get killed.

Would make for some cool Splinter-Cell / Assassins Creed moments as well, seeing as the infiltrators would have to literally infiltrate the enemy bunker (disguised or cloaked) and kill the administrator. Once this happens there will be a global message to the faction saying "Adminsitrator XXXXX has been killed! Your spawn will be delayed until another Administrator has been elected."

Thoughts?

That could become very unfun to not be able to spawn. how about instead it is an outfit position that decreases spawn time for the outfit, that has some very noticeable armor and cost outfit resources?

Instead of not be able to spawn, just double respawn time. That could easily turn the tide in battle, especially if you're trying to attack behind enemy lines. Send in an infiltrator to kill the vip and once he's dead, the troops would be able to capture the hex much more easily.
