Sweet announcement, but I don't think it confirms beta in any way. It's possible that they'll just have a few dozen machines for players to use and will be demoing in a single base or confined section of the map, like a canyon. Even with 40 or 50 people in a small area, players will get a good taste of how hectic Planetside battles can be.

I do however think they'll give a rough estimate of the beta timeframe, if not an exact date.

You know what we really need to make sure that the E3 demo is as amazing as possible?

Beta access for the whole of PSU during E3!

That way we can make sure that the population locks are hitting their limits, and PlanetSide 2 looks as epic as it is meant to.

i dont understand ... Is soe are going to do everything for E3 or is SOE is going to try to get us as soon as possible in the beta ive redeem my beta code since early march 2 months ago Hope they try to get most of us into the beta ASAP !

If we have No beta before E3 i will be very disapointed . . .

I've been reading and thinking about it and I agree with the conclusion that we should have beta open before E3, otherwise the demo won't be even nearly as awesome as it should be. This game needs all the attention it can get at E3.
