That's what I liked best about Raging Primates actions - we did EVERYTHING well. Air raids, armor columns, gal drop to gen or CC or tower holds, battlefield support... really everything.

I change my playstyle as the battle progresses really.

Except for interfarms. I always just end up running in getting a kill or two and then I'm dead. Rinse, repeat.

we always had divisions of labor for specialized units. The tank dudes would hang out in their channel, the infiltrator squad would chill in their's waiting for their orders and tearing up advanced position. We didn't really have a dedicated air squadron.. Just Kenwayy, he was all we needed, lol.

In the end though, feet on the ground, close visual combat infantry is how i always envisioned us in the fight. We nearly always did too. And will again I'm guessing.

Pretty sure I'm going to be piloting a scythe or jumping around on rooftops as Light Assault most of the time.

I tend to mix it up a lot, but aircav was my mainstay in PS1 and I don't think it is likely to change in PS2, especially considering how fun the Scythe sounds.

But I plan to do a little of everything as well, and certain play styles may end up appealing to me even more so than flying, so I can't be too sure at this point.

My favourite playstyle is to do something that's fun until it isn't fun anymore and then do something else.

It takes a deep game to support this playstyle. Planetside and Eve Online are some of the few that do.

I've mostly leaned towards a Mobile Infantry style of play with Gal Drops and other transport.

But overall I do what is necessary to get the jerb done.

My biggest fear is that sniping in PS2 won't be anything like PS1.

Will most likely pilot a Scythe and stick to aerial combat. I'll definitely try sniping out, otherwise I'll probably be mainly a jump trooper.

A sentiment shared.

Not sure what I'll take to primarily otherwise, couldn't honestly say knowing what we do.

I pretty much stick to one playstyle. Not just in PS1 and PS2 but with most FPSs, I always play the Engineer class. I enjoy playing the supporting role and helping out my squad. With that being said, Engineers aren't always useful during assaults, though they are good for keeping MAXs alive, so if needed I will switch it up, depending on the needs of my outfit.

Ignorant poll. Playing to win is the only "style".

You are one of them fellas who drops the gen as soon as possible aren't ya?

Now playing to have fun, there's something I can drink to.

Good thing there will be room enough for both of those play styles, since Planetside 2 will have populations large enough to support it.

Another good thing is that on most hexes there will be no gen to drop, and by extesion, no killing the fun.

And multiple generators and spawn rooms in bases, so dropping gens will actually be a big part of the fun, not killing it.
