I'm also rocking 2x512MB 333mhz DDR RAM, where each stick may or may not be by two different companies...

Still have my trusty HD 4870, one of the best ATI cards I've ever owned alongside the X1950 Pro. I'm considering a 7850 now that I have to upgrade my processor anyway for some OpenCL side projects I'm working on, 220 € seems like a pretty good deal.

We need to start a charity fund of spare parts to get you a new setup.

I actually have a slowly growing amount of money that's now at...*checks*...£865. Waiting until beta to upgrade.

You are probably going to have a heart attack with your new rig at how fast it is.

No kidding. I intend on squashing an SSD into that budget too, so I fully expect to get whiplash.

I had two ATI 4870's but replaced them with an GTX 580 a few months ago. Never going to get an AMD card again. I fucking hate those drivers. Now I only need to change my old proceccor (E8400 @ 3.5) to a more recent one. Since obviously my old CPU is bottlenecking my GPU. Also planning to get an SSD, more ram, new motherboard (kinda mandatory since I want a newer CPU) etc.

Lol, that SSD is probably going to happen at the rate we're approaching beta.

460 is still a respectable card, albeit not the best but still respectable.

GTX460, can run all games maxed out thus far, and with pretty good performance. Everybody seems to want 60FPS minimum but I can play perfectly fine with 30, so eh. I'll upgrade if I have to.

Well no, that's completely subjective... I regularly place top three in any competitive game. It just depends on what framerate you're used to.

Also, I meant 30FPS in graphics intensive games like BF3. Anything else is smooth as lubricated silk.

I personally prefer between 60 and 120 fps - anything below 60, and I see the rastering lines on my projector (which is primarily why I want to upgrade - I'd love to run PS2 at 120 FPS with VSync on).
