I would certainly pay money to have a system in my cockpit that would play mp3's out of an MP3 folder, such as flight of the valkyries like in the new trailer, and have a little controller interface for it.
It's a frilly little add-on, make us pay some money for it, I would in a heart-beat. Would anyone else |

This is a fun idea but if everyone had this and could play anything they wanted it would ruin the whole soundscape of the game. The last thing I want is to be forced to listen to Call Me Maybe because some ass is playing it nearby.
Maybe sell certain sound bits players can use at the most. Like have Flight of the valkyries be in the cash shop so an air squad can blast it as they fly in but surely not any mp3. |

Oh, I didn't mean it would be anything any other player could hear, I just wanted some way to control personal audio so when you jump in your vehicle some awesome music blasts for you alone.
Though being able to pump highway to hell to your passengers in a gal would be kinda cool I was just thinking about it because it's so satisfying in Saints Row 3 to hop in your vehicle and have it blasting music =P |

I don't quite understand how this would be different from having music playing in the background on your PC, especially considering most modern keyboards have media controls. If you just want music when you're in a vehicle, press play when you enter a vehicle? Kind of seems like a waste of resources, both in development time (though I'm sure it would be minimal) and just bogging down the game.

Pandora Is a radio site, IT doesn't have my Indie tastes. It would also take up extra bandwidth. Thanks but no thanks. My music folder with my tastes just like in APB reloaded.

I doubt I will ever need to listen anything beside awesome PS2 music in this game. However it's always a cool addition to the game. Even more than that I would like to see Empire/outfit specific radio stations implemented that would inform you on various new additions the to game (i.e. new vehicle type or weapons) or latest changes on the battlefield. As far as I got to know this community there would be more than enough candidates thrilled to moderate these stations.

Yeah as cool an idea as this is, it's a bit too redundant because I always have Winamp playing in the background anyway! I'd sooner like to see the devs work on what Immigrant just posted.
Maybe not have empire specific radio stations for music, but more just things that play over the speakers like propoganda, things condemning the enemy empires, funny ads for vehicles/weapons etc.. It'd add more of a feel to each empire, maybe throw a song on once in a while :P |
