I am a fan of the NC philosophy of power per shot being more important than everything else. However, if you miss a few times, you're going to be stuck reloading well before your opponent...

Oh trust me, the noobhammer was very well deserved. Remember the horror of the unpatched quadshot? Such utter bull, can't believe it went that long without being removed. Also the tv-guided phoenix was so freakin annoying to defend or attack against, impossible to miss and risk-free. Gauss was the best MA by far too. I agree though that the vanguard was skill-based, especially tank vs tank, but no tank was easier to farm infantry with than the vanguard.

Laser/plasma based weaponry. Lots of pew-pew sound effects. PS2 is shaping up to be similar, which is a good thing

Being a newbie to PS and not great at FPS in general (aside from Tribes, because explosions mean I can miss and still hit ), I wasn't sure about who to go for.

TR - I liked the looks, and I was also hoping that the spray-and-pray would make it easier. NC - I liked the philosophy, and high damage weapons mean when I finally hit someone, they'll take a fair amount of damage. VS - I liked the looks and design (aside from all the purple, bleurgh).

However, watching TB's What PS2's all about video, I LOVED the look of how the Scythe handled. I love really maneuverable vehicles in games, because I really like pulling all kinds of crazy stunts during dogfighting (especially in the HAWX games where you could deliberately stall to get behind someone), so the Scythe and/or the Mosquito look perfect for me. I'm also looking forward to circle-strafing with the VS's tank (the Magrider?).

In other words, I might use my main character as a Vanu pilot/driver, and have a secondary for when I want to go shoot people in bases.

The New Conglomerate, Terran colours look nice and all but I'm not digging their aesthetic this time around. I play better when I'm in tune with the feel of what I'm driving and the Vanguard looks far more functional to me, it also seems like it will operate most like an RL tank which means RL tactics should be usable. Always good.

TR - Actually play the game, the only real choice!

Im like 50~70% sure ill be going TR, played them a bit in PS1, but i like the way NC looks. Hopefully with beta, whenever that happens, ill be able to decide. But even if there is the ability to switch factions, i will only stick to one. So it makes it hard for me to choose.
