This is embarassing and funny....Enemies running past each other...People crashing too trees...people crashing to everything, dying.
People running around, not fighting....I guess is not their fault because they don't know how to play. But yeah Im surprised by the lack of combat so far....People look lost. They need to find people who how to play and fight to make the game look good...Once in a while we see good combat. This doesn't represent the massive warfare in Planetside 1 or what we will expect in Planetside 2.... My friend who hasn't played the game is saying he expected more action and bigger battles. The press is playing how did you expect them to play.
TB did say that only a fraction of the total population is playing, and so the battles will be much more massive than what we're seeing on the stream.

It sucks for new people who don't know. |

Sony employees are probably at the offices, whereas he is at E3. He can't stream them because he isn't set up for it. Very simple.

Every single demo presentation on E3 has this, and people should be able to look through it and see possibilities and potential.
So far it has blown me away with how good this game will be with proper players. you can just tell by looking at the gameplay provided by "noobs" |

People suck at new computer games (its E3 not a FPS convention, everything from MMO players to adventure gamers will be there), accept it and move to concentrate on the footage where a few people know what side of the gun the bullets come out of and where to aim it.

Yeah, maybe they weren't fantastic planetside players, but most people won't know that. What's more important is that the demo showed off the game pretty well, especially in alpha, and everyone they interviewed seemed to have a lot of fun. The booth got a ton of attention, lots of people played and watched, attention was acquired whore-ishly...
Overall, mission accomplished. And there will be even more tomorrow! I seriously wish I could be there, Beta needs to come soon. |

Yeah, there were definitely some shit people playing those games.
I was watching it wanting someone to pull a Scythe so bad so I could see how they handled. Finally, some guy pulled on and the immediately crashed into a rock. He then pulled a second Scythe, then about 10 seconds of flying straight in the air he presses the enter/exit button and falls to his death. God damn you, whoever you are. All I wanted was to see the Scythe kill something. Also, did the vehicles seem very squishy in general to everyone else? I noticed on a few occasions that someone would bump into a tree or a rock and bam they lost 1/5 of their armor. I'd think a tank would be a little more resilient than that. Yes I know it's still in alpha so they probably haven't tweaked all the armor values to perfection, but still. |

I was actually really surprised by some of the good players I saw.
After GW2 playtests, press beta, etc. I thought everyone would be running into cliffs, trees, away from the base, into enemy staging grounds. Only saw someone not correctly identify friend from foe a few times. Well there was a lot of friendly fire too. Thought I saw a decent amount of strong gameplay concidering none of these guys had touched the game before. |
