In terms of the art styles anyway. Having followed this game for ages and watched/seen nearly every bit of info and screenies released by SOE ( remember when 1 screen shot was a massive deal? ), I still can't tell the difference between the mosquito and the reaver if I see one in the sky on the stream. This is the case for other items but not to the extent of the two planes.
Just a small complaint but, time permitting, I would like to see a more distinctly different art style between NC and TR (not an artist so don't ask me what I'd do). VS obviously has the most striking difference, for obvious reasons, and I think I'm going to defect to them from the TR, if only so I can recognise friend or foe in the sky Sorry to bring up a complaint, most of it is fantastic |

the mosquito looks like a mosquito now and the reaver looks kind of like the old mossie
This is the new reaver: This is the mossie: Take note that the cockpits are notably different. one is more of a dome with curved lines and the other is rigid and harsh. Visual ID to those new to planetside may be a little difficult (if you're new), but when you see them a lot, you'll find it much easier

In the recent footage they've made all of the TR/NC guys solidly their faction colours. They aren't both grey anymore.
Of course, you can't really tell because everyone has a fucking animal print or shitty camouflage skin applied that makes them and their vehicles look like ugly messes, but at least in some of TBs videos you can appreciate the updated default empire skins and their solid red/black or blue/yellow theme. |

I always have liked playing the VS for the fact that it's that much easier to identify enemies
But they do look different enough once you learn to spot the differences. I think it will be fine. Don't let that stop you from joining the best faction though. We've got hover tanks and aircraft that can turn on a dime. And pew pew pew guns. |

Once you slap camo on both, the MAXes are the only ones that are visually distinct enough by sillhoutte alone, IMO.
It's fine if things are restricted to faction colors, and I don't mind the faction color-themed camo, but the actual camo could end up being problematic at range. I've been saying this for months, now, though, and I doubt anything'll change on that front since the customization as the monetization vector is so core to the game model. |

I'll be calling primary fire on anyone running an animal pattern...
