I feel left out that I never knew about Planetside until TB uploaded his first few vids covering Planetside 2, I feel like all these years I've been playing the wrong games! But having TB as stoked about the game as yourselves and even having him doing the live commentaries was a great move, and surely has broadened your audience even further. I've even saved up some of the E3 footage so I can get my PS2 fix every day :P. Thanks (again) for creating the 'perfect' game!

I think many veterans would never have believed we'd get a successor to Planetside 1.
Planetside 1 still goes diwn as my favourite online game ever - the experiences in the beta and early release have never been replucated since. You and your team have managed to execute a stunning game that strikes a brilliant balbce of bringing Planetside into the 21st centuary with mass appeal yet still addressing the long-term playerbase and ensuring our worries and concerns are addressed. Well done to you all - amazing work all around |

I'd just like to add my voice to the crowd: Thank you, congratulations on the awards and...
I really can't wait to finally experience Planetside after hearing so much about the original and watching such great footage of the new one. You guys rock! |

Great job at E3 guys! The live demos really showed the potential for huge battles, which is something that people who aren't familiar with Planetside haven't gotten to experience yet.
I can't wait for the beta! I get the feeling we'll need a /tearyeyedbearhug emote for the first day |

I'm sure they occasionally want to mingle with the community in such ways that they are clearly devs, but I'd figure most of them when they just want to enjoy the game on their off hours will be on characters where majority don't know who they are. Also, just this thread.. I mean, Higby finally gets back home, probably hasnt slept much in the last 3-4 days and amongst the first things he does is come here to write us a thank you. I hope he at least give a kiss to the missus first

Thank you for allowing us to see the fruition of what many here have been wishing for for a long, long time.
The original , when brought out by soe , was almost like a bunch of cavemen discovering fire and looking at it and just saying '' wtf do we do with this? -come on , we got bears to hunt '' I'm so pleased to have Matt and the team working on this now , genuine gamers loving and passionate about the thing they are creating. I know its a business and the bottom line is where it stops , but for the past 5+ years most games have , in my eyes been more about suits on high with no idea or care for their product. Just the spreadsheet. Hopefully this enthusiasm will grow and continue for the next 10 yrs . Quick fixes , the next big thing just get surpassed . The industry as a whole needs to think of games especially mmo's as a big family growing and evolving . The psu community is like a kindred spirit . Once again, thank you , and hopefully we wont be left by soe with a geriatric gerbil on a bicycle running the game once its released. |

Why are you thanking us? You're the magician constructing this legend, not us. You should be thanked for appreciating your fans and actually listening to them, unlike many other developers who don't even care to listen to their players who pay money for their games. Thank you, Mr Higby.

It's totally unacceptable that nobody else have really even tried to do it since (except like WW2OL before Planetside, but meh..). So probably two of the more awesome feats in the near history of gaming were done in 2001-2003. Technology has only evolved and we've only been staying at pretty much the exact same spot, just with prettier graphics and evolved gameplay mechanics. That said, I don't mind that much. PS2 will probably be the first "modern" succesful MMOFPS. Let's hope it gets the "WoW" effect with that advantage, where all the similar games after it are just failing "WoW clones" I'm not expecting WoW-like success baseline, just the similar effect of being the first to mainstream something.
