Something of note, the gun on the hackers back in the second screenie is a Gauss, though it's unfortunately the world model.

Neither could possibly be a Punisher, that's got an upper carry handle. And the front sight and gas block look very similar to the M16/AR15's on the punisher. Actually, I think the Punisher might have been inspired by the OICW just like the Suppressor is obviously inspired by the HKMP5-SD series.

The player held weapon is definatley a jackhammer if you compare it to this picture.

And still yet no one has a picture of a gauss in 1st person. I'm just wondering why no one is curious enough to find out what it looks like in 1st person, i mean about 1/2 of the new conglomerate grunts are goign to be using the gun in my opinion. No one cares how cool its going to look or how gay its going to look? I mean the jackhammer looks really gay in 1st person, i'd hate the gauss to look like that shit.

I think what we're dealing with here is that the game-site previewers that SOE has recruited thus far are a bunch of smacktards who:

A: Are playing NC, but insist on using the punisher because they swear you can rocket jump in this game.
B: Identify too strongly with being terran and as such have no imagination.
C: Have some sort of propensity towards wearing purple and aquamarine spandex.

Oh well, I'm not one too judge. That's God's job....sinners.

I did find a first person shot of what I'm positive is a Gauss, but the lighting isn't very good for picking out the detail. It's HERE.

HERE is a very nice 3rd person shot of a Gauss too.

EDIT: Where in the heck is the magazine on a Gauss anyway?

Nice pics - The gauss looks sweet in first-person which is cool cos its prolly the gun ill be using most.

Also if you look at the first pic on the first post of this thread, I reckon the magazine could be that chunk under the barrel - it looks like it could be clipped on, sorta like a P90 but underneath rather than on top. Or alternatively, it could be the bit just on top at the back, above the trigger and pistol-grip.

Yeah I was just looking at the pics and now I see that the gauss has a 40 round clip and the cycler has a 50 round clip. http://www.planetside-universe.com/m...php?img_id=445

If you look on the bottom of the screen with the picture of the highlighted gauss, you'll see a number 40 below the pic and to the left, and since the gauss is completely highlighted, not just like 1/4 or 1/2 or whatever it means that its fully reloaded, hence the 40 round clip.

If you look on the bottom with the picture of the highlighted cycler, you'll see a number 50 below hte pic and to the left, and since the cycler is completely highlighted, not just like 1/4 or 1/2 or whatever it means that the clip is full, hence the 50 round clip.
To the left of the cycler pic at the bottom is a pistol pic, it only has 13 rounds left in the clip, hence the pic of the pistol not being fully highlighted.

Well noticed - one thing this has brought to my attention is the great difference between the pistol mag sizes. In the weapons info we are told that the repeater (TR pistol) has a bigger ammo clip but not by how much. In the second pic we can see that the repeater has a clip larger than 13, and by the proportion of the icon that is highlighted, I would estimate about a 20 round clip. The first screen shows a mag scatter(NC sidearm) with a full clip of only 6 shells.

So there is quite a lot of difference between the two pistols, and, as it is assumed the pistols are relatively similar in potency (well balanced) we can assume that the NC Mag Scatter is significantly more damaging per shot that the Repeater
