Whoa, Elmo. Let's keep it real in here.

TR military generals rebelled against the Royal House of Auraxis and started this conflict in the first place. Those VS nut-jobs wouldn't be the threat they are if your leadership had stayed LOYAL to the royal family in the first place. For all your propaganda, you can't rewrite history nor undo the blood on your hands.

Those of us who served the Royal House of Auraxis in the Expeditionary Force years ago haven't forgotten the first treachery that took place. We may have been forced to ally ourselves with less savory individuals to restore the rightful heirs to the Vanu throne, but it's no greater a sin than the Terran Republic's original rebellion.

False.

The legitimacy of the Terran Republic ended when they rebelled against the divine authority of the Royal house of Auraxis. The TR continue to try and brand us as heartless corporations who seek nothing but control, when the truth is that one look at their military command structure shows them to already be guilty of the very sins they claim to loathe.

Truth? The Terran Republic can't handle the truth.

Typical Vanu lies. There is no Royal House of Auraxis in PS2. Sorry. Seriously read this: http://www.planetside2.com/news/oct11Backstory

I'm guessing that all their inclusion of technology into the biology robbed them of their (we'd call it humanity) Vanuity and left nothing more than an insane echo that the VS now worship. The TR & NC don't really need to fight them to be honest, they'll wipe themselves out in due course but I won't sit by and be dragged to extinction with them.
The VS believe that the Vanu used the power of their advanced technologies to transcend their physical limitations and the mundane world, ascending to a superior state of being, and ultimately, a higher plane of existence.

you know after reading this I went back to re-read the dossier on your messiah Briggs and I've come to a further conclusion that Vanu being an alien was probably more akin to a parasite than a humanoid alien, it infects a host and begins to spread to others, very cleverly to beings of superior intellect like scientists and doctors in order to spread as quickly as possible across a species and prevent it being discovered and eradicated. You all have brain worms!

I'll probably have a character from each faction and stick with whichever one I find a cool Outfit for. Gonna need a group of fun people to go blow stuff up with.

My main was Vanu for the longest time, but I the new lore and the way my mindset has shifted since I was 13 (when PS1 came out) has changed my loyalties. My new character will be NC. I'm in favor of a strong federal government that doesn't get hampered by an inefficient system, but in no way can I support superseding the free-market system.

Regulating corporations is one thing. Taking them over and incorporating them into the state is another thing entirely, and goes against the rights and freedoms of all those involved with that corporation (the shareholders, the owners, the workers, and the consumers). Corporations are what drive growth. When an authoritarian state takes them over for its own ends, it's far easier for corruption to spread unchecked.

The VS also seem to lack anything resembling government oversight. The TR has an overreaching government that infringes on individual liberties; the VS want to advance regardless of risks. The NC seem like logical and compassionate capitalists who genuinely want what's best for the people on Earth and Auraxis, economically and socially.

That, and their technology is fucking awesome

Oh come on, don't start making this about real world capitalism versus socialism; with my loathing of American free-market-worship you'll drive me back towards the TR again!

The only thing separating you from the Vanu is your assumption that we are wrong. Once again, we can't prove you wrong. We can only hope you come to our understanding.
it is our imperfections that make us unique. if everyone was perfect we'd all be exactly the same, and thats no fun. id rather keep my imperfections and be me, rather than lose them and myself in the process. humanity isnt perfect, were not supposed to be. screw the vanu and screw there ideologies. unless they have marajuana... then sign me up :3
